Jay Chou Incidentally Hurts Vincent Zhao
Jay Chou and Vincent Zhao are presently filming a martial arts movie together. Jay plays the "Warrior God" inside the movie and he had many fighting scenes with Vincent Zhao. Jay, who's untrained in martial arts, has accidentally hurt Vincent's hand many times during the shoot.
Jay said: "I thought that I had to do 30 to 40 takes before the scene is OK. I feel that I still have room for betterment. I think I'll step by step improve and perhaps I can get the scene done within 5 takes."
Vincent said: "If one actor can fight, the other cannot fight, more coordination is needed in that case. Fortuities are unavoidable, hand injuries are common." Jay Chou added: "Occasionally, it's actually hard to guess the length. We need to make it look like a real fight. Therefore when we throw a punch, we'll some of the times hit each other."
Boiling number of hand injuries suffered by Vincent during the filming, the director determined to use a stuntman for subsequent fighting sequences to prevent further accidents from happening.
