Vic Chou's "Black & White" Media Interview

On 14th March 2009, Zhou Yumin, Zhao Yao Ting (Mark), Chen Yihan (Ivy) and Director Cai, attended a media interview for the idol drama Pizi Ying Xiong (Ruffian Hero).

ZZ : We are very tired. Frankly speaking we are very tired. Must really say that we are really very tired.

ZZ : Telling you frankly/ upfront, whatever you do, whether you do this or do that, I will not be defeated by you.

ZZ : But when we saw the result of the filming, all of us, both the cast and the crew, really have a very fresh feeling.

ZZ : This time, I see that everyone involved in B&W really work very hard together. We did not allow the circumstance or environment around us, be it the weather or other influences, to defeat us. We still stand in front of the camera....

During the interview, Director Cai expressed that ZZ is a hard to come by (rare) good actor. Previously appearing in Meteor Garden, Mars and many other films, after many layers of training/ discipline, B&W is ZZ's demonstration of excellent work after 8 years lifetime as an actor.

Dir Cai : During the whole filming process, we discovered that he has entered into a maturing season as an actor. He has started to go on the path of a matured actor. That is the biggest change I see in him in our 3rd colloration together.

VO : And towards this drama that was specially created for him, ZZ has special feelings.

VO : When reporters asked, in the event he needs to film a kissing scene with a male actor, how will be his performance? ZZ replied that he will not be able to accept it.

ZZ : Friends have asked me before. I have always thought that I can do it. You know, I have always thought I am able to accept guys with guys, as I also have friends like this. So all along, I thought that if I am asked to act this type of role, I will be able to do it. Then one day, a male friend was sitting a little close to me and I started to feel uncomfortable and shifted away. You know that type of feeling, the feeling I get is....that I don't like this type of feeling. So for this kind of scene/ film, I will consider......that is, it is most unlikely that I will consider doing it.
