New HALCALI single on the horizon
The adorable hip-hop duo, HALCALI, is still riding on the wave of promotions for their recent album, “TOKYO GROOVE,” but they have just announced that they will be releasing a new single on September 15th. The title of the single will be “Roman Hikou“, and it will be a cover of an old Kome Kome Club song.
Kome Kome Club’s original song is an older ska/dance/pop tune, so it will be very interesting to see what HALCALI will do to the song when they infuse their hip-hop flavor into it. It already has a commercial tie in, as it will be used for Sony’s Cyber Shot camera series. The release of an old Kome Kome Club song also follows the group’s recent trend of covers, having just finished an entire disc of covers on their new album “TOKYO GROOVE.”
The finalized track list hasn’t been released, so it is unclear if there will be a b-side for the release or not. Regardless, with all their new releases lately, this has definitely been a great year for HALCALI followers. Fans will definitely have to stay tuned!
Current Track List:
1. Roman Hikou
2. Roman Hikou -instrumental-
