Kang-Ta’s Latest Mandopop MV “Love, Frequency (愛, 頻率)”

South Korean artist Kangta, who entered the latest stage of his music career as a solo Mandopop artist after completing his mandatory military duties, demonstrated his seriousness in pursuing a music career in the Mandopop music industry with the release of his latest dance MV “Love, Frequency 愛, 頻率.” The move marks a recent trend by K-pop artists to expand their popularity outside the oversaturated pop music markets of South Korea by tapping into the huge Chinese Mandarin-language speaking demographic.

Backed by longtime music label SM Entertainment, Kangta’s debut song off his newest Chinese Mandarin mini-albm follows the trademark electronic synth sound and dance vibe that have been adopted by numerous contemporary male K-pop artists such as Super Junior and Shinee. Like the track itself, Kangta’s music label did not hold back on the production values behind the MV for “Love, Frequency”. The broadcast of the MV coincides with the release Kangta’s digital single, which went on sale earlier today.
